Parameter Description
The ST-M2 series sampling frequency is 5 kHz. ST-M3 models use 10 kHz sampling, while ST-M5 configurations support 31.25 kHz Ethernet acquisition or 50 kHz analog output. Select the exact model by reference distance, measuring range, repeatability, linearity, target surface, and interface.

Choosing an ST-M Series
- ST-M2 (5 kHz): for routine high-precision height, thickness, step, and dimensional checks where the process speed fits a 5 kHz acquisition rate.
- ST-M3 (10 kHz): for faster in-line inspection that needs twice the ST-M2 sampling rate while retaining model-specific distance and range options.
- ST-M5: for high-speed displacement, vibration, and runout monitoring with 31.25 kHz Ethernet acquisition or 50 kHz analog output on applicable configurations.
Choose the sensing head from the verified specification table by reference distance and measurement range first. Then confirm repeatability, linearity, target reflectivity, spot option, installation angle, controller, and communication interface. A sample test on the actual surface is recommended before final selection.
